Dustless Technologies

Dustless Technologies - We carry the entire line of dust control accessories and products from the leader in dust containment – Dustless® Technologies.

The dust control products from Dustless® Technologies are specially designed to capture the extra fine dust created by cutting and grinding with diamond tools and also from drywall sanding.

The heart of the system is the Dustless® Wet Dry Vacuum. It is not your typical shop vacuum. Tradition shop vacuums are not designed to capture the extra fine dust from diamond blades, diamond grinding wheels and drywall sanders. Cheap shop vacuums are fine for course saw dust and dirt but they cough and spew fine dust whenever they are turned on.

The Dustless® Wet Dry Vacuum has a patented double filter system that can be cleaned without opening the canister to keep extra fine dust from getting airborne. An optional micro pre-filter also captures particles down to .5 microns. That’s almost as effective as a HEPA filter, which captures particles down to .3 microns.

We also offer a Dustless® HEPA Wet Dry Vacuum for remodelers and contractors that need to meet OSHA, EPA and NIOSH guidelines. The HEPA vacuum is certified to meet critical standards.

You can also get a Dustless® Wet Dry Vacuum with patented ToolSync™ technology that enables contractors and remodelers to turn power tools off and on in tandem with the Dustless® Wet Dry Vacuum. The ToolSync™ system is designed so that you can run both the vacuum and a larger hand grinder off the same circuit without blowing a fuse. ToolSync™ is for the professional that wants to maxamize job site efficiency and avoid the hassles associated with blown fuses.

Dustless® Technologies offers several types of dust shrouds for use with hand grinders. The Dustie™ is the most economical solution. It features a flex-flange mounting collar that makes it very easy to mount on to all popular makes of hand grinders. Simply slip it in place and tighten a band clamp. The Dustie™ is made of flexible, lightweight plastic that permits the operator to work at a variety of angles while capturing 99% of the airborne dust.

You can trim the front edge of a Dustie™ down with a pair of shears or ban saw and attach an optional cover plate to make a dust shroud suitable for decorative concrete cutting, tuck pointing and crack chasing.

The next step up in dust shrouds is the DustBuddie®. The DustBuddie® is made of clear polycarbonate for improved visibility, and it features a brush skirt on the working edge that provides a cushioning affect for better operator control, smoother grinding and better dust collection. The DustBuddie® also features a removable front lip for grinding up against a wall.

The CutBuddie™ II is very similar to the DustBuddie® in construction, but has a cover plate so it can be used for crack chasing, decorative concrete cutting and tuck pointing.

We offer two sizes of BitBuddie™ – dust and slurry control shrouds for use with drills, core drills and percussion hammers. The 1-3/8” BitBuddie™ is ideal for cutting sink holes in stone countertops, or anywhere space is tight. The 4” BitBuddie™ can be used for any size of core drill bit up to 4” in diameter. The BitBuddie™ is ideal for capturing dust when dry drilling or slurry when wet drilling.

The ChipBuddie™ is a very handy dust-free paint and popcorn ceiling scraper. Capture paint chips, dirt, dust and debris as it is dislodged. Many painters, contractors and remodelers find it very useful for popcorn ceiling removal.

The Turbo Drywall Sander provides distinct advantages over the leading brand of Porter Cable drywall sanders. This drywall sanding system is much lighter, about half the price and is capable of sanding in corners and tight places because of the rectangular orbital sanding head.

The reason the Turbo Drywall Sander weighs so little is because the orbital sanding head is powered by the airflow from the vacuum that spins and internal air turbine in the sanding head. There is no electric motor mounted on the pole.
Because there is no electric motor on the pole, it also means you only have to plug in one device – the vacuum. You don’t have to worry about blowing fuses by drawing too many amps.

Not only is the Turbo Drywall Sander less expensive, you also get to save considerable expense on sandpaper because it uses standard sized hook and loop sandpaper available at any hardware store for a fraction of the cost of the proprietary paper Porter Cable uses.

What contractors and remodelers really like about the Turbo Drywall Sander though is how the size and shape of the sanding head enables them to get into corners and tight places. It’s perfect for kitchen and bathroom drywall sanding.

Dust control is becoming increasingly important to construction professionals, remodeling contractors and handymen everywhere because of an increased awareness of the dangers of silicosis and hexavalent chromium. OSHA, NIOSH and the EPA are creating new guidelines to protect workers and at the center of the solution are the point-of-origin dust control systems designed and manufactured by Dustless® Technologies. Dustless® Technologies manufactures a line of dust shrouds under the brand name of Dustie® and DustBuddie® in addition to a dust-free paint scraper named the ChipBuddie™. They also manufacture the Turbo Drywall Sander, which is an economical and lighter weight alternative to the Porter Cable Drywall sander. It features a rectangular orbital sanding head that enables drywall contractors to reach into corners and tight places. At the core of the Dustless® Technologies dust control set of solutions is their Dustless® Wet/Dry Vacuum, which is designed to capture the fine dust created by grinding and cutting with diamond tools and drywall sanding.

Dustless® Technologies has expanded their line of dust control systems to include industrial grade HEPA vacuums for large-scale concrete construction and wood flooring applications. The new line of vacuums includes three models: the Pro Series 200, Pro Series 300 and Pro Series 600. Each model number reflects the cfm of the vacuum.

The Dustless® Pro Series industrial vacuums provide improved productivity and reliability with a patent pending filter system that prevents the vast majority of dust from ever reaching the HEPA filters. The cyclone design captures 98% of dust particles BEFORE they reach the HEPA filter, greatly extending cleaning intervals. While many HEPA vacuums clog quickly and require frequent cleaning, the Pro Series system can go up to 50 times longer between filter cleanings. During heavy dust collection operations, cleaning is typically required once an hour. In lighter dust collection operations, the vacuum can retain peak performance for three to six hours before pulse cleaning.

Contractors like how the Pro Series industrial vacuums can be run off of 120 volt current. The motors are also cooled by an air bypass system to keep dust out of the motor to extend their lives. There are no solenoids to malfunction, making the vacuum very reliable. Guesswork is removed by having a gauge that tells the operator when airflow has dropped, and it is time to press the pulse cleaning button.
